Not a whole lot readily available about this one yet but check out the video and let me know your reactions.

I remember one tournament in Virgina that my daughter was playing in (age U19) a player on the opposing team (from NJ) got frustrated with the physical play between herself and one of our players. Her solution was to turn an puch our play in the face. Our player walked off the field stunned, dizzy and shaken up. It was off the ball so the ref never saw it. The parents did and the NJ parents cheered. Another great lesson learned in sportmanship.

I personally can’t stand the notion of parents, coaches and officials accepting that the physicality of a game is allowed to escalate.

The whole notion of this blog and my radio show is to hold a mirror up to each of us to show how ridiculous our behavior and mentality can be sometimes.

More importantly, it is for us to be able to learn from the mistakes of others. And in some rare cases, for us to learn from the model behavior of a rare group of folks who simply know how to do it the right way.

If you really want to see some behavior, look for the post about Elizabeth Lambert and the video associated with it. This one is just plain disgusting.

    Thanks for posting.
