As we all reflect on National Sportsmanship Day, I really wonder just how far we’ve come as a society in terms of true sportsmanship over the past few decades.

What do you think? What direction are we headed with regard to sportsmanship? What have been some of the more significant contributing factors on the increase and decline of sportsmanship in youth sports in America? What are some examples that support your opinions on sportsmanship.

We’ll be discussing this on the show this week so I’d really like to get your thoughts in advance. Even if you just jot down a quick thought or two on this, it’ll help us formulate the show.

    Thanks everyone.

    Best

    Hi Coach Tony!

Thank you for bringing your website and radio show to my attention. I am going to pass it along to other parents, coaches and educators. I have updated my hub that you originally posted on above, to encourage my visitors to visit your site as well. I look forward to listening to your broadcast on Sunday!

One of the best showings of good sportsmanship I have ever seen is in the accompanying link. It is something I have used when speaking to athletes and discussing the relationship of character to good sprotsmanship. This is a good one:
